Default My small Apt. HD Home Theater

Well I know I haven't been on here for a long time. That's because things have changed for me. I mean my HD theater components haven't changed, but my dwelling has. My wife of 10 yrs. and I have split up over a year ago, and I had to move. One good thing that came out of it is I got the whole HD theater system (42" Vizio 1080p HDTV, PS3, Sony 5.1 receiver, and 10" Yamaha Subwoofer). Now that I am divorced; I can't afford the HT hobby much anymore, so I haven't been able to get many new movies. I can't afford satellite, nor cable so I have joined Netflix which I stream through my PS3. I posted the pic of my theater.

sorry to hear about the personal life and that you had to suffer the effects of the big "D" but not to worry, if you don't mind the drive down to VA a couple of weekends a month, your welcome to hang out at my place. Gots lots of HT gear & beer to play with (not the beer, never play with the beer) and enjoy! Lord, dont' forget the pizza & nacho's!

you will get past this divorce thing, and you still have to live (such as living is) so you ain't dead yet. WE ARE HERE FOR YA BROTHER! leave your mailing address and the gear should start pouring into your place!

by the way, your setup is very nice. keep your head up, you will get through this.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with everything. I am glad you didn't loose your system. Even though its difficult to buy what you want now, I am sure you will make the most of it. Keep us posted on your progress.

Thank you all very much. It's really not easy going into a Best Buy or Walmart without being able to buy a movie or buy a piece of HT equipment when I want. But I do like being able to watch MY tv without having to watch stupid movies such as Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Grease, Mamma Mia, and Top Gun.

well, i wouldn't call them stupid movies. they are just movies that you don't want to have to watch. Top Gun is not a stupid movie and yeah, i did like Dirty Dancing & Grease too!

Sooo. Any thoughts on maybe upgrading your ht sometime in the future? Lots of knowledgeable people in here too ask if you have questions some day.
