Default Aardman?

Not that I expect to see any Aardman HD releases any time soon, but---they parted company with Dreamworks earlier this year and signed a deal with Sony . Does Dreamworks retain home media distribution rights to Chicken Run and the other Aardman features?

Just curious. I can wait till the format war is over, resting securely in the knowledge that any new Aardman animation released in HDM will appear exclusively on BD.

I am a huge fan of their stuff, but I think Dreamworks got everything when they bought them, and retain everything now that they are gone.

That's the answer I was expecting. Oh well. The future awaits. Hope they don't have any more big fires.

They don't own the right's to Wallace and Gromit I hope, for any future movies, only Curse of The Wererabbit, can this be confirmed, I thought Nick Park owns the rights to his characters.

Fox Pathe (part of Fox) owns the rights to Chicken Run in the UK, so it could be released on Blu-Ray.

The only titles Dreamworks got worldwide ownership of were Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Wererabbit and Flushed Away.

You all will be happy to know I received notice that another Wallace and Gromit movie is in the works.

Cracking good news, Radagast!

For anyone who's missed out on the OOP BBC/Warner or Dreamworks DVD releases of the original 3 W&G adventures: Amazon lists a new Lyons/HIT Entertainment DVD release available December 4.

I just bought the Paramount version a few months ago which has the 3 shorts plus the 10 really-shorts . I wonder if these will include the original soundtrack or not?

Wow: I just noticed the 150 minute running time on the Lyons/HIT specs...isn't that enough room for the big 3, the little 10, and a half hour or so to spare? I swore I wasn't going to doubledip another DVD.
