Default The "OFFICIAL" House and House II: The Second Story Thread

I'm a HUGE fan of these films and will not rest until someone grabs the rights and starts that meat and potatoe transfer these films most surely will need for blu ray.

We need to see these films with commentaries and other supplements and the packaging needs to be beautiful. Trinkets should also be included, like a Criterion style release. A crystal skull keychain where the eyes and inner cavity light up blue in the dark and a Roger Cobb Blood Dance promo poster as an insert.

Someone please save House and House II: The Second Story from limbo and get them onto BD with a beautiful transfer with no less than 30mbps and absolutely void of any sharpening or noise reduction.

I want to see those backgrounds swimming with grain!

Hi, what clue? The fact that House films are listed?
It's not enough, though. A campaign cannot be confined to a signature wish list lol.

Just that these movies are classic wish list stuff. I'd imagine they're on quite a few people's list

Absolutely.
I'm sure there's a bunch I'm missing. House and House II, I just purchased on Anchor Bay DVD. As much as upconverting does the trick enoguh to fall alseep to with commentary on a 32" Polaroid LED HDTV, it's just not enough.

Definitive House films are needed...with the bonus gifts.
PIP commentary with Ratzenberger, Starkman, Gross, Wendt, Katt and Moll.
Glowing keychain, Blood Dance poster..the outer cover a digi-booklet reminiscent of the Poltergeist release, where it feels like a fabric.

No bullshit edition.

Call it the HOUSE: NO BULLSHIT EDITION Blu Ray Double Box Set.

I love this series too. But why only the first two?

If whoever does release them on Blu I want all 4. Part four also involves Cobb, unsure why you've missed that out?

I didn't mention them because I didn't feel they were particularly good movies.
But hey, it's a free for all, I'm not the boss.

The original film is a fantastic little horror gem. It's just a terrible shame that its stuck with a label that doesn't understand the market or simply just isn't interested. What is it with these companies? They acquire properties with no intention of doing anything with them and it's not just Image Entertainment or Lionsgate - it's also Warner with their Paramount titles. Anyway, enough ranting - This needs a quality Blu-ray release. BTW, I love the 4th film. It feels detached from the original film but so did the second installment in a way. The only connection to the earlier films in the 4th one is William Katt but that's OK - its still a fun flick on its own.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try watching part 4 again. Seemed very made for video to me and I couldn't hang in there.

Love the first two and am pretty lucky that I have both in pretty good 1080i Hdtv caps to tide me over until they are released on Bluray which I feel sadly will be a long time in the future, if ever.

Oh ok, you seemed very passionate for 1 and 2 and Roger Cobb. As he and his family move back into 'The House' in IV and concludes his story I'd thought you'd be on that one too.

But yeah it's each to there own etc

It's just the fourth one that needs a Blu-ray, Scream Factory released the third one a year or two ago.

Rather just one box set.

If fact this, Critters set and Phantasm set and then I can't think of another 80s-90s horror set I'd like on BD

Did anybody buy the 4 film collection? I am reading conflicting things about House III being Region A friendly.

I once saw the House box set for sale in a second hand shop in Camden with the handwritten label 'The worst films of all time. Why anyone would buy these is a mystery'.

Right next to it was something else I wish I could remember but the label said 'yeah this is shit but at least it's not the House boxset'.

Harsh. I have fond memories of 1 and 2 and would very much like to see them again.
