Thus far my one Blu-Ray double dip is with the three Superman films that were initially released on Blu-Ray (Superman: The Movie Expanded Edition, Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, and Superman Returns). These of course were replaced with the discs included in the Superman Anthology.
There are a few Blu-Ray discs I would be willing to double dip on should a new disc with a better remastering job be released: Terminator 1 and 2 The Dark Knight Predator And if what I've heard is true, Warner may eventually release a significantly extended cut of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. While I'm fine with the original Blu-Ray releases of the other films, I would be willing to double dip on this one if that proves to be the case. |

I've only double-dipped on films if I had the regular version, and a Blu-Ray SteelBook and / or DigiBook was released in either the U.S. and / or Canada.
I usually only buy Blu-Rays if the film is only available in Blu-Ray packaging (i.e. Buried and In The Land Of Blood And Honey) or if they are meant to be seen in Blu-Ray (i.e. Avatar). The only things I'd really double dip on are classic films, such as The Godfather, The Matrix, etc. I'm still coming up with a definitive list of titles I'd buy in Blu-Ray. |

If you mean from BD to BD, then Gangs of New York is on my list for the new remastered release. Se7en also, since I got the awful 1.78 Alliance version... Not much more.
If you mean from VHS/DVD to BD, then all of them! Eventually! ![]() |

I've at least double dipped (if not triple dipped) a majority of my collection from DVD to blu. As for bd to bd double dipping, Avatar for the extended edition, and the two Nolan batmans for the steel book. And Vamp so I could get the better UK import.

Only one for multiple Blu-Ray versions and that's the anime film Redline which I've triple dipped on. I waited 2 years to see it and went in with one of my very few blind buys with the special edition Japanese release (with printed extras, Extras DVD, and unique box art). Film surpassed expectations so I also bought the Region 2 UK Collectors edition (with DVD version and Booklet in English and English audio track along with better English subtitles) and the only available as bare bones in US release (for lending out). Would have quadruple dipped for the case art of the French or Italian KAZE release version if it had English subtitles...
![]() Exceptional picture and audio quality (Japanese audio track, English dub is not quite the same quality) along with a fun ride of a movie = the best anime Blu-Ray experience I've had, better than Evangelion 2.22... Last edited by Vracer111; 07-28-2012 at 07:00 PM. |

I replaced my Dirty Harry because I got the box set. It looks like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be the next one. I did a lot of double dipping on DVD and I don't plan on going down that road again with Blu-ray. It would have to be a huge improvement for me to even consider it now.

the only ones i've really double-dipped on are the wb steels that best buy put out a few weeks ago. i already had all the movies on blu-ray (with the exception of inception and sucker punch) but wanted those steels so i picked all of them up.
i gave all my regular-cased blus to my sister's fiance. |
