Amazon has priced the Alfred Hitchcock: Masterpiece Collection box set at $209.99. This set has a retail list of $299.99.

You can also purchase this set at Amazon UK for £112.49 or $150 with shipping included. Please note that the UK set does not include North By Northwest. Each title in this set would cost $10.71.

This pattern is very similar to the pricing of the 50th anniversary James Bond set.

Is the exclusion of North by Northwest the only difference between the two sets? Because I already have the digibook, so it would make 1000% more sense for me to get the UK version, pay less, and not end up with a duplicate if the sets are otherwise the same.

Same here. I already own North by Northwest & Psycho.But i just noticed it says Region B locked. It better be Region free.

Wow... hopefully this will come down in price. $14 a movie is pretty high, especially considering the films included. I was hoping this would be in the $120-140 range.

Amazon UK has now delayed the Hitchcock set until Nov. 12, nearly 2 weeks following the US release.

I just cancelled my Amazon US pre-order. I had a GB discount for this (about $10 off), but still too expensive. I'll wait for this to drop in price more.

I wish I had known about the FingerHut deal (about $100 for the US set) earlier, I probably would've gotten that.

Was that deal ever posted in the deals forum? Or only in the Hitchcock thread in the NA-BD forum?

Best current price on the Hitchcock set is now $174.99 plus $1.99 for shipping from Family Video.

I have emailed Amazon this price to see if they will lower their price to match Family Video.
