I think Anniyan planning to re release on theatre. So ascar is remastering the movie in 4k.

Well, congratulations to all those folks waiting so long for an Indian masala movie blu-ray. Of course, this one still needs to be imported from the UK, but at least it will have English subs (I'm assuming).

Now if only some better masala movies would get a BD release. I walked out of Rowdy Rathore at the interval point because it was an utterly vile woman objectifying movie (I'm not expecting 'wokeness' but this was a squirm inducing level of fetish), and whatever clips I've seen of the Telugu and Tamil versions suggests that this is part of the original script.
