Question BDA and getting their message across.

Are the BDA sending reps around to the likes of Walmart, Best Buy and other electronic stores, advising them of the advantages of Blu Ray over standard DVDs? It seems to me from people posting on here that the people working in these stores don't have a clue.

I know its not electronics but Guinness Brewery sent reps around pubs in Ireland and Great Britain to explain to them how to pour the perfect pint. A similar training exercise might help educate the general public.

If you look in the "News" section you'll see something about this. A company (waxworks I believe) is going to send out promo and educational material to stores about bluray.

Its a well know fact that you can make your stand alone BD player load faster if you "double draw" the disk!

My b/f recently attended a High Tech Tour for Magnolia reps and about the only thing associated with Blu-Ray was a free coffee tumbler that Sony was giving away.

Care to explain that? Is that what Sony did for the S300 player with the 2.60 firmware?

<sigh>

It was a JOKE!

To properly draw a pint of guinness you draw half a pint, let it rest, then complete the draw, and let it rest again... its referred to as double drawing the pint.

I may be a yank, but I do know how to pull a pint

LOL. I don't recall seeing that many pubs offering Guinness on my last visit.

Do you drink it warm? Because as much as I like Guinnes, I could never drink it warm.

The BDA is doing a great job of getting their message out. They go to malls to show off goodies. The advertise. They have a ton of support and members. In the BDA I trust.

You never drink beer or Guinness warm. Always cold. Actually there is also an extra cold version.

Well, Blu Ray is like my wife, and Guinness is like my girlfriend. They're fun alone, but they go great together.

Is it hard to advertise beer in Ireland? I live in Wisconsin and all that has to be done to advertise beer, is show up with good looking girls with big boobs.

I love beer advertising.
