Did anyone have the benefit of seeing it in theaters? I've heard nothing but good things. It was only playing in like two theaters in southern MA and I'm in southern NH. I'll be seeing them for my 6th show at Mohegan Sun this summer and I can't wait to see this. Anyone read a Blu review for it yet or anything? Looks outstanding.

I bet they'll be a considerable amount of Neil. He still does a lot of stuff for television in Canada. He had a small role in the Aqua Teen movie. It was great. I was born a Rush fan. My dad is a huge fan. I'm 19 now. I've been to more shows but the best to me was the Vapor Trails Tour. I went to three different shows on that tour, than the Snakes and Arrows I was at two of them. Can't wait for the end of July in CT. I have to say they're my favorite band.

Anyway, it is a great watch and plan on picking this up. Highly recommended for any Rush fan. Disclamier: Do not expect any fantastic VQ or PQ. A lot of what is shown is old footage from what looks like 8mm and 16mm film. |

Nice Fizzy, I went to three shows on the Vapor Trails tour and two on the S&A tour as well!
Can't wait for the 29th. I don't know why some people take Neil being anti-social as a bad thing though. That's what makes him who he is and I can relate to it. We wouldn't have some of the poignant lyrics he comes up with if it wasn't for his personality. |

Saw it in the theater. Took my 5 year old with me!
My aunt and uncle were also at this show. Was pleased with the show. I wish they'd have done away with some of the off color guests on there to make it a better film. I was pleased with the job they did on it but seemed to skip over some of my favorite records such as Presto & Roll the Bones. Did a good job explaining why they got rid of the synthesizers. This aspect of RUSH has really bummed me out over the years because I thought that the 80's stuff such as Power Windows, Hold Your Fire, Grace Under Pressure has some of their most powerful music lyrically and energetically. My 5 favorite records are as such: Caress of Steel Power Windows Grace Under Pressure Presto Hold Your Fire Anyways, the movie was really well put together and I wish Mike Portnoy would have had a little more clout on the movie because very few more known bands play tributes to RUSH more than Dream Theater does. Who else would dare to play the songs that Rush almost refuses to play live: The Necromancer Tears Jacob's Ladder Different Strings The Camera Eye (Rush will HAVE to play it this tour with Moving Pictures ![]() |

Yeah I can't wait to hear Moving Pictures in its entirety. One of my favorites although most won't agree is Test For Echo. I think that album is a cult hit. I love it. I also love Geddy's solo album, "My Favorite Headache." Gooood stuff. I read both of Neil's books, Ghost Rider is one of my favorite books of all time.

Just to touch on Neil's public persona a bit. All three of them explain that Neil is a very shy and reserved person. Neil goes on to say he becomes very uncomfortable with people he does not know. Geddy said early on in the movie that Neil was a "weird guy". My guess is he has always been that way. Not a fault, but more like a defense mechanism. He was very personable and funny in the movie and even a bit self-deprecating. Nice to see him open up. Someone mentioned Neil's Book, Ghost Rider. Explains his whole reinvention and what terrible tragedies he has had to go through. Awesome read. Highly recommend it.
