Universal Pictures have revealed details the UK Blu-ray Disc scheduled for 5th January 2009. The martial arts epic Fearless starring Jet Li, detailed below…

Fearless - Includes the director’s cut (2hrs 21mins), unrated (1hr 43mins) and theatrical (1hr 41mins) versions on a single disc. Features include:

1080P 2.40:1 Widescreen
Mandarin 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio
English and French 5.1 DTS Surround (Unrated/Theatrical only)
English, English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles
”A Fearless Journey” featurette
Also includes Timeline bar, My Scenes Bookmarking and clips and Real Time Chapter Index Features

I received the US disc today. I think it's a shame that the local UK release isn't touting the fact that Dir's Cut is on this disc. Having said that, the image quality isn't stellar at all.

Only 5.1 DTS-HD and mediocre video? What the hell? Why get that when you can get the mandarin / english subtitled version with good video and 7.1 PCM. I haven't seen either version yet, but getting this version sounds like a jip in features/quality. Are there even region free players?

The PQ of Fearless (H.K Import) is average at best and underwhelming at many spots.
