I didn't see any other opening logos at the start of Borat 2 apart from Amazon Studios. Suspiria and The Big Sick had Lionsgate involved and they distribute the blu-rays. Beautiful Boy seems to have a Studio Canal release in Canada but nothing in the US?
I don't want to be a pessimist, but I think the best we can hope for is a non-US release somewhere. I think it might be extra funny to have a blu-ray with the cover title "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" written in French or German or Spanish. |

The first hasn't been released on Blu-ray in U.S., that film is far better than the second and deserves a BD release before the sequel does.
I had such high hopes, but Borat 2 was too political and SBC kinda lost what Borat was originally about. Oh well, the majority still enjoyed it. |

I have the UK BD of the first movie (region-free, well worth importing), but I'd like to own the second one just for the sake of completeness. I agree that the first one is much better but I thoroughly enjoyed the second one, too.
The Prime stream of Borat 2 is 4K HDR though, so if we do get it on-disc, I would hope for a UHD (but I'd settle for a BD if that's all we get). |
