United Kingdom La Grande Vadrouille.

Hi All ! FYI the new UK released version is region B locked. Tested on a Multi Zone Sony BDP-S790.
There are 3 audio tracks on this release, the original French one and two German. It has also different subtitles options, but they are forced when a different language is spoken.

Any extras? The DVD had the teaser and full trailer, though StudioCanal for some reason usually make a point of not carrying over any extras from their previous DVD releases.

The only extras on this version are two trailers, one called original trailer not restored and the other one just called trailer made with the restored film material. Those extras are only available on the german menu and are spoken in german.

The language and subtitles can only be changed on the disc menu. You can not change them with the remote control.

I hope it helps.

This has been one of my absolutely comedy of all time. Have watched at least 6-7 times including on the big screen. Hilarious and lots of fun.

So, I just found out an original French Blu Ray has a 3.0 sound - is it supposed to be the original theatrical sound? Or what’s the difference between the old one and the new one, presented on the new remastered disc?

In comparison the 3.0 is better than the new 2.0 one. If you listen to the music during the repetitions scenes, sound is very cramped; not on the old one.

Can you imagine it’s been a year since I noticed your reply. Thanks for your comment, but is it still an original mono mix in a 3.0 container (weird!) or really some sort of a surround remix for the Blu Ray? Hope it won’t take another year for you to reply
