I walked out after 30mins. Boring and dull.
EROS owns the rights. I'm sure they'll release the blu-ray.

Dharma, not YRF

I think this is Karan Johar's weakest film to date.

K3G, KANK and MNIK were all better, especially MNIK which is a modern masterpiece.

Anyhow, Eros International will roll out the blu ray discs worldwide.

I don't think you can really expect this until December at least.

I'd give SOTY 2.5/5 for solid music and occasional entertainment.

Worst movie of the year yet. Everythig and everyone in this film felt like a punishment to tolerate in cinemas. And no I am not one of those people who likes to pass a comment in the end "but songs were good". this is one of those rare times when i genuinely felt every single review of the film was a paid review.

A friend of mine said the same and he added that watching a fashion show on FTV was better than watching SOTY.

Did you just finished watching it now? Can't see any other reason for you to be awake at this time in India

I Actually watched it last week and posted my first reaction soon as i returned in the 'last movie watched in cinemas' thread (if u wanna read a much more 'instant thought' on the film).
Oh and bout the late hour, i am usually awake quite late almost everyday. I casually check the forum before sleeping if someone posted any sensible coment anywhere and i read 'this' which further makes me pass my reaction again to first timers (and lucky ones) who still havent watched it yet to stay away from such 'atrocities' that SOTY was for the lack of better word.

It's certainly a very good film. On reflection the word 'masterpiece' is too generous as it does have some flaws too.

The fact that it made 125 crores overseas and only 70 crores in India says it all. Audiences who make films like Housefull 2 so successful are hardly going to appreciate a film with a proper message.

The film made it to the reminder list for the 83rd Academy Awards, meaning it was eligible in ANY category. Not to mention it got so much critical acclaim globally.

The BD is so much better to have than 'Saawariya' and 'Bacha Ae Haseeno', two dreadful films that are, for some unknown reason, very popular on this forum

Glad to know that you liked the movie so much, but after seeing your reasoning in bold, I'd rather not comment any further.

I found it too contrived and fake.

Are you sure your figures are right?
I don't think this movie did such an incredible business. It started losing its business and screens in the second week itself. I do liked the movie and consider it to be a one time watch.
