Guys thanks for the replys,
The receiver I have currently is very good IMO Pioneer Elite 03, however as I have mentioned it is not 3D ready, im not even sure how I would view 3D content(my Sony BD player is 3D cabable) and be able to get the HD audio. This is why Im researching 3D receivers just cant spend a lot on a receiver, and features like Netflix and such are not important I can get that with my BD player and PS3. I will check out the suggested receivers BTW I didnt say it must be pioneer, simply I currently own a Pioneer, so familiar with the brand. My speakers are Polk Monitor 100's. |

I just picked up the Pioneer 523 K and I love it. It's 700W, 3D and 4K Ready, and only costs $249. I upgraded from a Yamaha. thats a decent price, mind if I ask where you picked it up at that price? |

Also, have you tried using optical for sound and running your BD player's HDMI to TV? While not lossless, many don't really hear much of a difference, and that one is free. (Please people, let's not make this one a debate of lossless over lossy) |

Im leaning towards this "if" I know it will work, my understanding of the set up is as follows: Connection- BD player HDMI 1 output to TV( say HDMI Input 2) BD player HDMI 2 output to AV Receiver To watch and listen to BD player: set the TV output to HDMI 2( this will allow me to view the BD player) set the AV Rec. to BD (just as if I have always done...I will still get audio but the AV Rec. will not be processing any Video from the BD player. Am I correct in this understanding? if so Im much more comfortable with simply getting a BD player with 2 HDMI out puts. Now the next question any suggestions on what BD players w/ 2 HDMI out puts offer the best quality at the lowest price ![]() Thanks for the help so far gang.
