Wow, my god, dual RW-12d's really are all I could ever ask for in my subs. Now have all Klipsch Reference everything. Best system I have ever owned and ever heard.

Ended up selling the BIC subs. They are great subs, but just don't quite hold up to the RW-12d's. I am going to get two more RW-12d's too. I know everyone prefers Internet direct subs, but I will say, these Klipsch Reference subs are more than I could ever ask for. I am in love.

Really thinking of getting one or maybe even two of these.
How do you guys like the digital control on the top of the sub as oppesed to dials in the back. My current Velodyne sub has digital controls on the front like this one, but I hate them. |

You blew your chance at having the highly coveted four sub setup. I paired dual BIC America F12's, with dual SVS PB12-NSD subs. All I can say is, I'm very glad I didn't make the mistake of selling my F12's. Nothing beats a four sub setup, except maybe having eight or 12 subs. Because you can never have to many subwoofers, in your HT. |

Congrats, I've been running 2 RW-12D for a couple of months now and I wouldn't trade them in for anything else, they sound awesome and they look awesome as well.
P.S. I think they can be set up to be controlled with Logitech remote (I haven't tried this yet). |

Contrary to what you might think, it’s not about getting louder bass. Multiple subs help even out the bass response over a larger seating area. A secondary effect is to help reduce the excessively long decay times of the prominent modal frequencies. ALWAYS go with dual subwoofers. |

Just aquired a Klipsch RW-12D for my bedroom set-up.
It's a nice sounding sub, however, I'm not thrilled with the plastic on the bottom.. It rattles at certain frequencies.. ![]() |

Yes i did experience that issue, it the port tube, its most likely loose, just stick you hand inside the port tube, and wiggle it to see if its loose, you will also be able to feel were it connects, if there is a gap at the connection point then all you need to do is get some Epoxy, unscrew the driver, clean the area were the port tube connects, then take your epoxy and apply it to the port connection area. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure what that opinion is based on ....
I can say I don't have any rattling coming from mine RW-12d's and I pushed them hard enough that everything else in the house is rattling including kitchen cabinets that are on the floor below (my media room is on the second floor). Yet the sound from the subs is nice and clean. I can feel the couch vibrating when I have it turned up but there's no rattling or anything else undesirable coming from the subs. EDIT: To add to my previous post, I have configured my system and my remote so that now I can adjust every single setting on my subs with my Logitech Harmony remote and it's obviously changing settings on both subs at the same time right from my couch ![]() Last edited by radek_t; 05-28-2013 at 07:36 AM. |
