Default Monoprice wall mounts

How are they? They are significantly cheaper than anything else I can find so I want to see if anyone has anything good or bad to say about them.

I have two of them and both work great, I'm really happy with both of them.

I've used one with success and it compared favorably to the other half dozen or so I've hung. I'd encourage you to read the reviews directly on the Monoprice product pages though, I find those to be quite insightful. Monoprice has never left me with the feeling that they over moderate the public's input.

How high can you mount the tv before you need to think about getting a tilting type of mount?

This isn't anything scientific and just my own opinion/preference on hanging TV's on the wall:

Basically when I mount the TV on the wall I want it to be comfortable to watch it for extended amount of time. When positioning the TV on the wall I don't want the bottom of the TV to be higher then about my shoulder height when I'm sitting down on the couch. So when I am sitting on the couch and I have my head on the back of the couch or when I'm reclined back I don't need to tilt my head in any direction to see the TV. I can just put my head back and see he TV in my "natural" position.

The only time that might not be possible is if you're hanging a TV above a fireplace and the mantle/TV space is really high up, I hate those but what can you do eh....

Just my 2 cents.

I have 5 of them in my house and probably have installed close to 25 - 30 now. They are great mounts at a great price.
