Default K-Mart stays neutral in Hi-Def war

Talk about desperation! Yet another claim made by the HD DVD side debunked!

Kmart's dual-format pledge comes on the heels of widespread reports that it had chosen to stock its HD-A2 HD DVD player as its only stand-alone high-def disc player this holiday season.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the retailer's statement meant it planned to stock stand-alone Blu-ray players alongside the Toshiba deck, but as we've previously reported, the chain already sells the Blu-ray enabled PlayStation 3 in its gaming department.

and yet those stupid hd-dvd fanboys thought k-mart was going to be hd-dvd exclusive. what idiots with having k-mart neutral that just means more money for them. its to early for stores to go exclusive to a format just yet

Sadly, that disinformation & rumor will persist long afterwards for the same reason slanders get front page in papers but retractions get put in the back: Lies are exciting and move people but people have to move to see the truth. It's rampant sloth.

Thumbs down Logical or not

I have one Kmart close to me here in PA.I was in there the other day and walked around in there so called electronics section.
I saw some PS3 units locked away with the games and son on, i was even more suprise to see they had about 20 or bd movies in stock.

Now, as a retailer your are selling the hardware you sell the software, logical bussiness decision.
I couldn't find a HD-DVD movie anyware in the store, no one to benifit from this mess with Toshiba at all.

When will the HD-DVD camp LEARN!?
Now a whole bunch of people are going to think KMART is exclusive and not read the follow up article. Damn them and their spin/fud tactics!

I can't imagine anyone that would buy that type of equipment in KMart. I can't even find a decent computer desk at KMart let alone a piece of equipment.

The point of my post is that K-Mart is such a small player in this game that the red boys should not have even speculated that they are going HD-DVD exclusive and force a statement from K-Mart. With that I will leave you to write your next greatest novel. Perhaps War and Peace part 2?

If they sell the PS3 then it was pretty much debunked...but the stores will only sell one standalone for now, the A2.

lol what?
Kmart is complete ass. I know you were being sarcastic, but that doesn't stop that feeling you get when you enter a K-mart.

That complete ass feeling. Anyways, I didn't mean to make it seem like I was trying to put you in your place.
