Default Warner Brothers - Old Code Redemption Issues

As most everyone knows Warner Brothers extended the redemption period for most of their digital copies to sometime in 2017 (5/17/2017?).

Prior to today I had always contacted Digital Copy Support and within a day or two received a new code with very little hassle; however today I received a less than standard response requesting additional information which seems unusual for Warner Brothers vs some of the other studios.

Quote:
Thank you for your interest in Warner Bros. Digital Copy offers. The Digital Copy offer is a limited time offer for DVD or Blu-Ray products purchased near its initial release date. The offer’s expiration date is specifically stated on (a) the outside packaging of your DVD or Blu-ray disc, (b) the insert, (c) the Digital Copy disc, and/or (d) the redemption site. Please note that sometimes one website will advertise as having a specific item, but that does not mean that another website will have the exact same item available.

In order to verify the validity of your Digital Copy offer, please respond with the following information:

•Did the product you purchased include a Digital Copy offer on the outside packaging?

•If so, please provide us with scanned copies of the packaging so that we can confirm the details of your Digital Copy offer?

Thank you for contacting Warner Bros. Customer Support.
I'm wondering if they are pulling back from giving replacement codes?

If it makes a difference the movie was Rocknrolla.

I sent them a copy of the insert and a screen capture of their own website citing the redemption date of 5/17/2017.

Probably a form script handed out to their low-level customer service people. Since companies don't care about training workers these days, the temps are told to simply follow the script in dealing with specific customer service problems.

Warner Bros. used to be a very easy studio to deal with on replacement issues.

I think I got one of those responses a while back, can't remember the studio though.

I would say try to request it again?

Has anyone been able to get UV codes for iTunes DC ones?

I saw that the LotR movies are now UV for both theatrical and extended.

I'm pretty sure that some of my replacement codes have worked for both iTunes and UV...depends on the movie.

**UPDATE: 07/22/13 - contacted Warner Brothers again today and my original support tickets seems to have stalled. We'll see if I have any better luck this time.

lol. I just sent in a request about getting a Dark Knight uv code to replace an iTunes code.

I got a new code 7 minutes later... for Harry Potter DH Pt 2

Sent in a request for a replacement code for Book of Eli today and received a replacement code within a half-hour or so...damned fast IMHO!

Out of curiosity, are you all saying that you have older blu-Ray films that came with DC/iTunes copies, and have now emailed WB for UV codes for those same films?

I have a TON of WB films that were pre-UV, and would be totally stoked if I could get UV copies instead.

What is the email address at WB that you're sending your requests to?

How are you typically phrasing your emails?

What info are you providing?

Thanks!

These are replacement codes for movies that were previously expired but have had their expiration dates extended. The replacements are generally whatever format the original was in (iTunes, WMV) although in rare occasions the replacement codes will also redeem the UV version.

For the most part we are not getting UV replacements for iTunes DCs no.
