PlayStation 4 users can share purchased digital software with any account on their home console, Sony has confirmed in a new FAQ detailing the console's digital policies.
This means digitally purchased games will work across all accounts on the purchaser's primary console. Meanwhile, users can access purchased titles on any PS4 console that is not their own, though only they can then access the software. Further, a single PSN account can be active on only two consoles at once: the user's primary console and one other. These rules also apply to PlayStation Plus: only one subscription is needed per household or console, and the benefits can be accessed from any other console providing the original subscriber is logged in. Each PSN account will need to be tied to a 'primary' PS4 console. While this functionality has been announced previously, the new FAQ presents the terms clearly before the console's launch next month. http://us.playstation.com/ps4/features/ps4-faq/ |
