Disney have released Toy Story 4 on 3D Blu-ray in a number of countries but as usual not in America where it was only released flat in 2D.

As is usual for Disney, all 2D and 3D releases are REGION FREE.

Odds on this being a Japanese MovieNEX only title? Provided it has good reviews, I think Toy Story 4 is the only movie I'd spend $64 on for a 3D blu...

Only a few days to come, to see whats Disney`s plan with the 3D Blu-ray of "Dumbo"...

Hope there will be also a 3D disc for "Alita: Battle Angel" after the Fox deal and the "ON/OFF switching preorder options"...

They’re probably only going to release it in Europe. And we’ll have to import, like always.

That trailer was pretty good, about a plastic fork finding its value. That's interesting. I'm not hoping much for the 3D though, knowing the sometimes milder 3D track record for Toy Story 3D films from Pixar.

Reviews are pretty unanimously positive: https://www.metacritic.com/movie/toy-story-4

84% - par for the course for a big Pixar movie.

Suspect you’re right about the 3D Zivhour. Bob Whitehall (Stereo sup at Pixar - https://twitter.com/bobwhitehill) has never been one to push the 3D, although I did think Finding Nemo and Coco were solid. Pixar tend to go with what I consider ‘child-friendly’ 3D (that is, milder 3D, as children naturally see the world in marginally milder 3D by virtue of their eyes being closer together).

Wish they’d follow Disney Animation’s lead though and go a bit stronger.

I might consider seeing Toy Story 4 in 3D if I have time. Not sure just yet. But the last 3D trailer I saw showed medium layers of 3D, not bad at all actually. I'd have to see more to be sure though. I kind of like the theme of the movie, where a kid makes a fork toy quickly, and then the toy has to find its value and place in the world, on a quest with the other toys that already have a purpose.

Check out Pixar’s Monster University. Pixar is quite capable of doing stronger 3D!

Now for the big question...will there be an international 3D Blu-ray release? (Obviously, no US 3D.) Hopefully we will see some pre-orders up in the next couple of days!

I thought Monsters Inc. used 3D better than Monsters University but, while I agree some titles are stronger than others, I wouldn't say any of them has strong 3D. I was hugely disappointed when I went to see Toy Story 3 theatrically and don't expect to be impressed by Toy Story 4 when I pick it up on 3D Blu-ray.

The bottom line is that Pixar deliberately dial back their 3D so that it doesn't aggravate people who don't like or can't handle 3D in the first place. Sure, it still looks very nice with great separation and volume but you'll never get an outstanding presentation out of them with an approach like that.

Wow, amazing news. Reviews are fantastic for this movie soo far.

This is going to be a wonderful & very funny home 3D cinema experience for the whole family
Love to have the opportunity to enjoy all versions at home (3D+4K) like with the last "How to train your dragon 3" release.

Please, not a Japanese exclusive again. £60 is way too much money to spend on a movie.

Hope there will be a 3d steelbook edition release like the last "Incredibles 2" one.

Ralph was from "Disney Animation", this is "Pixar". So i have hope.

We will get Aladdin, We will get Dumbo, so there MUST be a also 3D Blu-ray Version (US + Germany/Italy/France..) of this Blockbuster!

According to a new releases database entry in Germany there will be a reprint of the "Toy Story 3 Blu-ray 3D" coming out in august. It is also already listed on amazon.

I think this is a very good sign for a "Toy Story 4 Blu-ray 3D" (Europe) release.

I honestly thought this was Pixar's best 3D, the layering is damn impressive; and feet, a pencil, a character flies up towards the camera jutt out. There are just dozens of scenes that the 3D really does a great job of conveying the 'space' and closeness of objects towards us the viewer. Pixar for once delivers a 3D presentation that astounds. In my opinion, the two best Pixar 3D movies are this and 'Monsters. Inc.'
