I received some damaged (scratched all to hell) discs in my Amazon Black Friday order. Is is still possible for a non-Prime member to contact an Amazon customer service agent via phone or live chat? I couldn't find those options when I was searching their site earlier. Seems like they have been removed (dealing with Amazon used to be easy). Any help is appreciated.

On my account page,my orders,at the very bottom on the right hand side, the very last option is customer service.
I'm in Canada. Amazon is getting really bad now. Bad Amazon Bad! |

Amazon seems to have made finding the Chat option a bit of a puzzle but once you get the hang of it it's easy. Go to Your Orders and scroll all the way down. Find the "Let Us Help You" bar on the right side of the screen, scroll down to "Help" and click on it. Next you'll find a "What Can We Help You With" page - scroll down again to the bottom and highlight "Need More Help?" on the left (last option) - another "window" will pop up on the right. Click on "Contact Us". Phew! Did you get all that?

while this has nothing to do with their customer service (issues or not), i have found lately that they are not really the best place to buy things in regards to pricing.
on 2 things i was recently looking at, the items were cheaper, some considerably so, on the product manufacturer's website than they are on amazon. it didn't used to be that way. in the past, i could find things on amazon that were cheaper there than usually anywhere else. now? not so much. |

I had a good experience with customer service even though I am not a Prime member. I contacted them a couple of times last week and was barely put on hold for no more than a couple of minutes. All my questions/concerns were answered, as well.

![]() I've had good experiences with Amazon Customer Service, though. I got a blu-ray for free once because it didn't make the 2-day shipping timeframe (showed up a week later after being re-routed all over Northern California). They almost always take care of their customer by refunding certain charges or offering Gift Cards to compensate for issues. I'm not a Prime member, either (and never will be). |

Yeah, Amazon is great with customer service. It took me 2 minutes to go to the website and request a return and replacement. I remember when I had to go to a store, find the CS desk, get on some line and drop off something I was returning. Those days are long gone.

Thank you to the members who showed me the way. I now have replacements on the way for the aforementioned scratched discs. The only complaint I have (first world problems here) about the process is the amount of time it took. It was a bit over twenty minutes on the phone, the majority of which was taken up by two separate holds. And if anyone is curious, I was not offered a gift card or any money back for the inconvenience. Perhaps that is a thing of the past. That, or the customer has to ask/push for it.
On a related note, another order I placed (through B&N) over the holiday weekend arrived today. It contained the first three seasons of an old 80's action TV show. Upon opening the package, and then removing each season, it became instantly obvious that one of them is missing most or all of the discs (supposed to be 6 for the season). As you might have guessed, there is no weight to it. And yes, the plastic wrap is still on. So now I have to deal with that as well. You would think the warehouse employee(s) doing the pull and packaging would have noticed (or even further back to the employee who shelved/binned it there), but who knows. |

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but does anyone know of another email address for Amazon besides cs-reply@amazon.com? I'm looking for customer service escalation contact. Their stupid chat and phone call services are not helping in my situation and I've wasted countless hours over the past month trying those routes.

Be warned, BBB complaints will lead to the Amazonian ban hammer coming down.

Does the Bezos email trick no longer work?
Last I read jeff@amazon.com gets into the Executive Department and has (in the past) been known to escalate the CSR quickly Alternative Listed as Bezos phone (not really of course) but it was at one point a contact number for a higher up department 206-266-1000 |
