Thumbs up Mad Season "Above" Deluxe Edition 2CD/DVD

Coming out on April 2, this Deluxe Edition of Mad Season's one and only album "Above" contains a bunch of extra tracks and a full live show in audio on CD and in video on DVD. I already preordered mine! Anyone else remember this classic 90s supergroup's amazing sole album?

One of my favorite albums of all time. I remember the concert being released on VHS but not on DVD. I only buy a few actual cds a year, but this will be a day one purchase without a doubt!!!

I do find it weird that the unfinished songs from the second album will have lyrics and vocals by the drummer...

Absolutely love this. "River of Deceit" & "Long Gone Day" are amazing songs.

The drummer is Barrett Martin from Screaming Trees. According to the product description the unfinished vocals were done by Mark Lanegan who was the singer for Screaming Trees and another big "Seattle-scene" name. I think he's as good a choice as any to lay these down.

That was one deep album. Almost uncomfortable to listen to. Like a diary of a drug addict. Had so much respect for Layne Staley. I'm sure the Lanegan songs will be good too.

I swear the initial release info on Pearl Jam.com said Barrett Martin sang the new songs. Now it all says Mark Lanegan. Either I am crazy, or they had a mistake and fixed it...

I remembered that too. But they fixed the error. Amazon was pretty much the first place that released all the info on what's on the discs. Nothing has changed since then.

Probably about as much chance as seeing AIC - MTV Unplugged on Blu.
