Default 2014 Grammy Awards

Anyone watching?

I know I'm an old fart but am I the only one on here that misses rock? Watching this awards show, it's quite sobering to me to realize that the rock genre is all but dead. Now it seems if you're not a pop/rap/r&b/country artist, there's just no room for you anymore in the music industry. I dunno, I just miss seeing...you know....BANDS that get up on stage and play guitars, bass, and drums. I realize the music scene has been this way for a while now but damn! It really does depress me!

I haven't seen it, but Kendrick Lamar being snubbed is one of the biggest travesties of hip-hop in Grammy's history.

Lorde is from New Zealand, so she has been all over the Media here.. her wins tonight mean she will have the first 30 minutes of the nightly news dedicated to her.

I was kind of hoping she wouldn't win, as she is getting majorly over-exposed here and it's only going to hurt her.

Media try and make out she's just an average NZ teenager.. with the exception of her 300+ Million dollar parents funding her.

I refuse to ever watch these anymore. Most of the nominees are horrendous to my years.
I liked when arcade fire won a few years ago but other than that it seems like all they nominate is awful music that you would hear on the radio if you listen to the radio.

they really were - and Stevie Wonder to boot - this trounced the album version.

that appearance of Madonna during the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis 'Same Love' performance - agh... she looked terrible.

Katie Perry performance was very unique and entertaining, IMO.
Surprised also to see Chicago without Peter Cetera - prefer to see him over robin thicke.

What's up with showing actors for the award nominee announcements. Bizarre and doesn't help us connect artists we may like with their appearances.

The performance with Paul and Ringo and the performance by Daft Punk were the only two good things of the night. The rest were disappointing.

I don't know about that R&B is almost completely shut out. There were no R&B awards shows live. There were minimal performances as well. There was quite a bit of rock last night on the show.

Metallica was dreadful. The voice is worst then I remembered and Kirk Hammett actually messed up a few times ( which I had never seen before)

Some things just don't mix and the piano and the performance last night did not work. S&M was brilliant.

Also, I can't believe (but yet I can) that the Grammy's cut the NIN / queens of the stone age for their ads. I mean, they hyped up this performance like no other and then they cut it short. Pathetic.

I'd agree with this but would add Pink's performance in there. Not a fan of her music but applaud her for trying to do something interesting at the Grammy's for once.

cutting the closing act short was blasphemy! they make us sit through a bunch of dead people and cut one of the best part of the show

anyway, i enjoy daft punk performance as well as kendrick lamar and imagine dragons. weirdest act was the country girl with the cacti that followed an epic performance. what were they thinking?

Haven't watched the Grammy Awards in probably 10-15 years now. Doesn't look like I missed much this time either.
