Disney Black Panther : Wakanda Forever 3D Blu-ray (2022) [Region Free] READ FIRST POST

Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was only released on 3D Blu-ray in Japan. The 3D disc is only available in a combo pack together with the 4K and 2K 2D versions and all the discs are REGION FREE. The film does have a lot of subtitled dialogue so subtitles will need to be switched on and off manually, or added externally if you have a player that supports that function.

Deci note: Apparently this has been rescinded at the moment (Nov 2023) :

Please note that Amazon Japan sometimes do not want to ship this to certain locations so when that is the case you'll have to buy it elsewhere or use a reshipper.

Standard:

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray

Steelbook:

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Steelbook

Gubbins 4Ever:

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Tri-gubbin
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Mug
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Tag
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Poster

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Steelbook Tri-gubbin
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Steelbook Mug
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Steelbook Tag
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 4K + 3D Blu-ray Steelbook Poster

Original post:
Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in RealD 3D, IMAX 3D, 4DX 3D and other 3D formats worldwide on November 11 2022.

You can watch the official teaser trailer here:

And the official trailer here:

RealD has confirmed a 3D release on their social media pages a little later after the release of the teaser, and the Indian trailer confirms the 3D release.

Haha you are fast! I was just coming here after the trailer to see if a thread had been made, but didn’t see a 3D confirmation in the American trailer. Glad to hear the confirmation! And I’ll say this now, if the new Thor movie gets the Japanese 3D this one is almost certain to. And then please, please, please for the love of god Disney JP give us Antman 3 and GotG 3 on 3D Blu-ray too. I’m going to be very unhappy when they inevitably stop releasing 3D Blu-ray for the MCU, but those two movies especially have history as being 3D greats.

I wish they would release it worldwide. The import costs for Japan are insane.

Yes, they are. But there are almost no releases for 3D movies... i bet this was the solely loophole Marvel Studios found on Disney's buy contract to keep releasing their movies on blu-ray 3D.

Black Panther has a good amount of strong 3D, so hopefully Marvel isn't going to cut back on 3D in Black Panther 2 like they did with Thor 4's mild to medium layers of 3D, which was a big step down from the prior Thor 3. It was the same director too for both of those Thor films, so something happened where the budget was either cut, or the 3D conversion team got the completed film later than was possible for a stronger conversion.

Not sure but the tide of stronger 3D Marvel films may have turned a bit lately with weaker/cheaper 3D conversions compared to prior films. Dr. Strange 2's 3D being an exception with stronger 3D.

I think it’s just how much they are rushing their movies right now. They’re crunching all their employees including the VFX guys, and these tight deadlines mean hardly any time to make good, strong conversions.

Bring back filming native 3d? At least do the CGI in native 3D, just baffling that studios post convert their CGI.

Although I'm still curious about how this movie will perform vs The Woman King as, except for the Marvel name (and, possibly, 3D), they're shaping up to be the same movie.

Is The Woman King the 30th installment of a long-running franchise?

I have a feeling they will both do very well, unaffected by each other.

I'm assuming so, as well. Though clearly one must have had a much bigger budget.

I really don't get how they're going to wrap up any "phase" with this film as this location is far removed from the rest of the MCU, but I guess we'll see. None of these films in Phase 4 have really been connected much if at all. It's been very odd - I think everyone notices it.

I think some folks are just missing what connects them.

In addition to setting up the characters who will be the next generation of Avengers, we're also being shown how the consequences of what happened during the Infinity Wars may have set up the stage for what is happening with the Multiverse (phases 4-6 collectively will make up the Multiverse Saga)
