Default Catherine Bell's "Good Witch" Gets TV Series Order

The Hallmark Channel has decided to upgrade Catherine Bell's "Good Witch" series to full TV series status.

According to TVline.com, the 10-episode freshman run will debut in early 2015, in the wake of the films’ seventh installment, The Good Witch’s Wonder, bowing at Halloweentime.

While not really spectacular, the various films have been somewhat enjoyable.

Haven't seen the movies but have been wanting to. Love Cedar Cove and When Calls the Heart isn't bad, so I'll give this one a shot.

My mother likes this show and will be pleased. She keeps asking me if and when the TV movies will be released on DVD besides just the first one.

I've caught the movies from time to time because there was nothing on that was good to watch and I actually found myself enjoying these films. It's nice to see that this movie series is finally getting a TV series order. While the initial freshman series is only getting 10 episodes, Hallmark could expand that to 13 episodes.

But, if Hallmark were smart, they would release the seven movies via a boxed set or something in advance of the TV series. But, I hope they don't expand the seasons past a 13 episode order. The movie series is interesting but I've found that shows like this, unless they hit it off with fans like 7th Heaven and Gilmore girls, it could become stale after awhile.

Hopefully, the series will be just as successful as the films and they hire writers for the show who are familiar with the previous films. The problem with bringing in writers who don't watch the previous content is that they don't often get a feel for the characters and they end up writing from a void.

Definitely planning on checking out the TV series when it debuts.

That's my only concern. It's hard to watch the movies in order when ever they are on. If they released a boxset I'd get that and be even more excited for the TV series.

She came on board my aircraft carrier once and shot an episode of Jag. Super sweet and very easy on the eyes.
