Default Warner Brothers Reboots Gilligan's Island

I just caught wind of this but apparently Warner Brothers is moving forward in its plans to reboot Gilligan's Island, and they've already got Josh Gad.

Quote:
Gad, Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez will write the script. Lloyd Schwartz, Ross Schwartz, Tracey Silvers and Cathy Silvers will be executive producers.

The article is dated December 21013 so I don't know any more details about it. Just what we need, another reboot.

I'll give it a try. Enjoyed the classic series pretty well at least back in the day.

The hate on for reboots is getting a bit old though. There have always been retellings, revamps, and reboots.

It doesn't automatically mean that something is going to be subpar or downright awful. As many have proven.

And it's not like in the theater world they don't adapt and retell the same stories over and over again.

I seem to recall that Sony is also planning on rebooting Bewitched. I just think that there is too much obsession in Hollywood for these remakes because they can't come up with any new original content.

It's for a movie not a TV series.
