Default Retailer exclusive comparisons

Given that a lot of big name titles get retailer exclusives, would it be possible for Blu-ray.com to build a section on the site to compare all the special features available on all the versions?

When Star Trek Into Darkness came out, I spent days trying to figure out how to get the version with the most content on it.

I'm currently having trouble figuring out which version of Catching Fire to get and I don't have the time or patience to read 50+ pages of message board posts.

Would this be a valuable resource?

Something like that would be nice as I know how you feel. I guess it would probably be too much to ask the people who create the topics to add all of this information in the first post.

Regarding Catching Fire if you're looking for straight extra content only, then you'd want the Target version which has a bonus disc with extra content (sadly it is on DVD) If packaging bothers you though, a knock against that one is that it has DVD size packaging.

There are three sticky threads already in this section:

But if it helps...

Walmart

Target

Best Buy

I asked this last month here and the thread got deleted.
So I asked in the FeedBack Area and I was told that, No, this site will NOT do it.

I don't want to be a jerk, but you sound kinda lazy. It takes all of two minutes to find the info you want online. It's truly not as hard as you're making it out to be.

In the time it took you to make your post you could have figured out which version you wanted to get.

Not to mention there are already dedicated threads that go into detail about retailer exclusives...

And yet there are threads that detail US editions versus UK/Europe/Japan, so it isn't as if he's asking something that other fans haven't taken up for other very similar causes.

For most complete Bonus Features go with either:
Target Exclusive
Japan Import

It would be nice to have an FAQ on the first post of movies with tonnes of releases.

Obvious ones that stand out already would be perennials like Lord of the Rings, Watchmen, Blade Runner etc.

I think the sentiment behind not making it a standard would be its difficulty in enforcing, plus most catalogue films and many new ones have simply one release.
