I just saw that in US it was released by Warner Bros but in UK it is by "Entertainment in Video" so is the quality of both releases is same or there is any difference in PQ and AQ? I am more concerned about picture quality though. I am asking this because there is no review by any user here on the UK version. Please reply.
Thanks. Last edited by BigNickUK; 03-04-2024 at 02:32 AM. |

The PQ/AQ on the UK release is great IMO. There are loads of extras if you're interested in those - it's a two disc set but is locked to region B.
Anyway, it's cheap - you won't be disappointed! The Japanese release apparently has the edge in quality but it's quite expensive. Matt Edit: Sorry, as it's already been pointed out (and you know by now!) - it is a one disc set - the original DVD was a two disc set that was all ported onto 1 blu ![]() Matt ![]() Last edited by MattDean; 08-18-2011 at 06:21 AM. Bumping of this thread leads me to post of the sad passing at the weekend of Steve Harley the original Phantom at the weekend.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-68590846 Most famous for the song Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me) but he was also the Phantom for the first 5 months of rehearsals before Lloyd Webber fired him replacing with Michael Crawford prior to the musical’s West End opening. Is discussed in the documentary on the BD which also has the music video of him performing “The Phantom of the Opera” with Sarah Brightman which was his last U.K. hit single. |
