Talking SyFy's "Being Human" Remake With Sam Witwer

I have heard about the original before but never got around to checking it out. I really like Sam Witwer and have been waiting for him to get his own show. So I'll be checking this one out when it eventually makes it's debut.

Quote:
Sam Witwer (a.k.a. Doomsday) has officially signed on to play vampire Aidan in Syfy’s in-the-works U.S. remake of the U.K. supernatural dramedy Being Human.

Additionally, Meaghan Rath (The Assistants) has inked a deal to play ghost Molly, and Sam Huntington (Cavemen) is up for the role of werewolf Josh. Beautiful People‘s Ricky Mabe and Smallville‘s Aaron Ashmore had also tested for the werewolf part, but I’m told they’re no longer in the running.

Being Human revolves around three twentysomething roommates — named Mitchell, George, and Annie in the British version — who attempt to blend in despite, you know, being a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost.

It’s Three’s Company meets True Blood, and it’s a big bloody hit across the pond!

Can't wait to see how the series compares to the original one. Love the British version and can't wait to see series 3 next year.

I love the British, not looking forward to this to be honest. But I guess you never know I prefer the American office.

Being American I will just wait to see our version of this. When I try watching British shows or movies about 95% of the time I gotta have subtitles on, and than when they use Cockney forget about it, I'm done, lol.

I'm sure I'll do fine. Not my fault the Brits slur their words together and invented their own language to have private conversations. I work with 3 Brits and still have no idea what they are saying 90% of the time, lol.

Short promo for the show and interview with Sam Witwer. Really loved the promo and looking forward to the show in January. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I have no ax to grind and am not against the guy working but could someone please tell me what the deal is with Sam Witwer. I didnt like him in BSG and I didnt like him in Smallville. Other than the ability to upset me why is this guy constantly working?

Because he can make that squinty face that makes people think he's serious. But look at this cast, I mean Sam Huntington? His biggest roles to date where Jungle 2 Jungle and Detroit Rock City both over a decade ago. I have no idea who the broad even is.

It looks like they just went for look a likes for this remake instead of people good for the part. Granted I haven't seen any of them act except for Witwer so maybe they can act good who knows.

I actually tweeted eOne recently about season 4 on Blu-ray, they replied saying they don't have the rights to it so they can't release it... I'd like to know who has the rights now though.
