Default Redeem UK iTunes code on US account?

I know you can do it with UV's, but is there a way to do it with iTunes codes?

There are ways to redeem codes from other countries codes and download them into iTunes for playback, by authorizing that computer for that account (I have a computer authorized to play US, UK & CAN movies) - however those movies are not added to your US account - you would still have to have separate accounts (US, UK, CAN).

In my case I happen to have access to multiple PCs and I have one setup to redeem UK codes and another setup to redeem CA codes and those computers stay logged into those accounts.

If someone knows of a different method I'd love to hear it myself

Yeah, I was reading that online somewhere today. I was hoping there would be a way to "trick" iTunes into temporarily thinking it's a UK account, just like the UV method.

I ask because I have a few UK codes that I can't use unless I figure something out. Is there a thread here somewhere where people trade UK codes for US codes?

Once redeemed with a UK iTunes account, they show up in your library with your US digital copies.

You don't have to switch logins when you want to watch a UK DC or US DC. Once downloaded to a PC, it also downloads the authorization and the DC works like all the other iTunes digital downloads.

You can load them on an iOS device, Nano, Shuffle (in the case of music), and play it via Apple TV.

The only time you have to switch logins in when you want to redeem a UK code, simply log out of the US account then login into the UK. Redeem the code wait for the download to complete then logout of the UK and back into the US. That's it, you're fine.

I did this once last year and it worked fine. I did read somewhere at the time that you could loose your credits if you had any, though now I am not sure if they mean they don't carry over to the UK (which I don't think they would) or if when you switch back to the US the Credits would be gone.

I believe that's if you moved country and changed your iTunes account's country (rather than having two accounts, one for each country, you email iTunes support and get them to transfer your account so that it is associated with a different country's iTunes store). Sadly, you can't merge iTunes accounts or even do the previous thing frequently (or at all if you have Season Passes outstanding or credit unused).
