Then they will magically appear on Zavvi's ebay page for £28.

I agree with this one. Got the US BD a while ago, quite a good little flick IMHO and will probably be a very popular Steelbook.

1000 copies, so then there's still atleast 3000 copies that's coming out on other markets than the UK.
Hope this is the effect (and that it feels in their pockets) of what they have done to the Steelbook collecting community

Given this is the first Steelbook for this film it will attract a global customer base, plus Zavvi ship internationally. Reading this thread half the comments are from US based buyers.

However as only 1,000 copies some other countries must have taken stock to meet a minimum order size. I would expect retailer exclusives in France and Germany are a strong possibility.

I'm in the US on holiday at the moment so with being 8 hours ahead of UK time and limited WiFi it made it awkward to pre-order this

Hopefully the next hotel has WiFi and I can keep an eye on this
