Just wondering, as there is a German release of this. I would love to get my hands on a N.A. copy of this film.

No word yet. The German version is region free, but it has forced German subtitles.

yeah it does. It sucks. But the release isn't to bad. There is definitely an improvement over the DVD. I would rate it 3.5 in PQ.
Could have been a better transfer

Probably forced subtitles like the German version. Burned in subtitles are part of the actual print like Downfall.

I always loved this one too. Book and film. People were so hard on it at the time, but look at the likes of Conan nowadays! I think a release of this would be great and hopefully the film can be given another chance - provide echo bridge don't get their paws on it and totally mess up the transfer!

Can't wait to get this one. Got it on DVD but will upgrade. One of my favourite Crichton flicks. And as a bonus, it was filmed near my hometown on Vancouver Island.

Yeah, hopefully it has English subs for the foreign dialogue at the start. Metropolitan's Silent Hill release was very English friendly, hopefully this is similar.

From translating the amazon.fr reviews it seems a couple have complained its not the uncut version?

Its been a while since ive seen 13th warrior so unsure if i have ever seen a uncut/ extended version

No mention of image quality or if forced subs in reviews that i can see.

google translator the not best though lol.

**Looking into further commments i dont think there has been a uncut/ extended version ever shown.

I owned both the VHS and DVD and there was never any mention of an uncut version. As far as I know the theatrical cut was McTiernan's director's cut.
