I was watching a DVD copy of We Were Soldiers, and every couple of minutes, it would restart my BD player.

I have never experienced this before, lol.

Well, there's your answer right there. Why are you watching a dvd in a blu ray player. You should be watching blu rays. Throw the dvd's out.
