Default Best Buy Reward Certificates question

I purchased a big ticket item that I ended up returning due to a defect the other day. I don't think my credit card has been credited back yet, but will be in the next day or two. Not sure if I should have, but I did however use the reward certificate that I am guessing I most likely got due to said purchase for some blu-rays today. How does that work as far as my reward program/Best Buy credit card goes? Will I still be refunded the full amount for the returned item, but it will take me a longer time to build up to my next reward certificate since I may end up being in the hole as far as the rewards program is concerned? Or something else?

u shouldn't have had a rz cert for something that was still in the return window anyway. they wait till after the return windows ends to fully post points to avoid people getting certs and then returning the item and having free certs for stuff they returned. so not sure how u would have had a cert for something u returned.

This is a different Reward certificate question:

Can reward certz and e-gift cards be used to buy visa pre-paid cards in store?

I know you can use reward certs to buy amazon/kindle cards.

Another certificate question:

Has anyone ever used a certificate from a different member account to buy something on your account?

Yeah. However, in this situation, it turned out I had a second account in my name and the second account got one of those rando free $5 certificates. I was able to use the $5 cert combined with my primary account certs to make a purchase, while linking only my primary account to receive the points for the purchase.

Ah. The certificate is from my father's account, but since he'll never use it, I figured I might try and use it on my account. I'll give it a shot in-store. Thanks!
