Default The Mass Effect Trilogy Announced!

Quote:
Experience all three award winning Mass Effect titles at an amazing value with the Mass Effect Trilogy, coming November 6th.

As Commander Shepard, rise to become the galaxy’s most elite soldier and lead an all-out war to stop an ancient and ruthless enemy: the Reapers. With over 75 hours of content and more than 300 awards, one of gaming’s most acclaimed franchises is available for the first time in a premium foiled box set.

Heart-pounding action meets gripping interactive storytelling where you decide how your unique story unfolds. Assemble and lead your team aboard the SSV Normandy, the most advanced ship in the galaxy, and travel to distant and unexplored star systems. On your journey, meet a cast of intriguing characters each with their own story to tell. Wield devastating weapons and customize them with upgrades to create new and devastating attacks. All the thrilling action and your decisions culminate into a heroic battle against the greatest threat ever known.

The fate of the galaxy lies in your hands—how will you chose to fight for it?

NOTE: Mass Effect Trilogy releases on November 6th 2012 for Xbox 360 and PC, and later in the year for PlayStation 3.
Kinda bummed we have to wait a bit longer than November 6, but at least we now get the first Mass Effect!

This is great news but we should be used to getting the short end of the stick with these types of releases.

So I guess that means Mass Effect 1 is coming to PS3. Or am I being stupid and we're gonna get simply 'The Mass Effect Collection' which will be Mass Effect 2 and 3 only.

You are correct. PS3 users will be receiving all 3 games to include Mass Effect 1. I wish I would have know that they were going to do this & not played 2 & 3 already.

Yes, we're getting all three games. Mass Effect 1 will also be available for digital download with full trophy support.

I never played Mass Effect in the past since my computer wasn't powerful enough to do it justice.

But with the whole trilogy on PS3 I just might someday.

LMAO leave it to EA to never lose an opportunity to make a few bucks off the table.

Actually for anyone that hasn't played this, it'll probably be a great deal (content and value-wise). But ME2 & 3 were vast improvements over the first, so playing 1 after the other 2 will feel pretty bad I'm thinking.

Hopefully I can just buy ME1 for like $10. I hope it is optimized for the PS3 as well and not just a crappy port of the 360 version.

So the 360 editions is 5 discs, but the PS3 version will be 2 discs+ME1 download then? If that's the case I'd rather them just put it in a regular case lol

1 won't be on disc? I was considering selling my 2 and 3 to get this when it drops in price but I guess I'll just get 1 on PSN

I think ME1 was the best game ... ME3 was a disappointment to me ... felt too much like a generic FPS and lost a lot of RPG elements of the first one ... just my opinion

ME2 did that. ME3 just build upon the changes that ME2 brought. If I had to order the games it would be;

ME2
ME3
ME1

ME2 was SOOOOO good. Definetly my favorite by far. Best combat, best characters, best gameplay, best presentation. So much about it was filled with win. Truly an amazing game
