Synopsis

Co-directed by Jerry Garcia, The Grateful Dead Movie was originally released in 1977, and captures performances from five October 1974 shows at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom. Shout! Factory is reissuing the fan favorite deluxe 2-disc version, including a DVD loaded with an extensive slate of bonus features — five hours of content in all!

The Grateful Dead Movie in its entirety, transferred from the original 35mm film negative in High Definition and presented in 1.78:1 widescreen aspect ratio

• 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio presentation of the original theatrical audio mix

• DTS 5.1 audio mix, mixed from the master multitrack tapes

• PCM 2.0 audio mix, mixed from the master multitrack tapes

• Feature-length commentary with supervising editor Susan Crutcher and film editor John Nutt

Cool. I wish they'd reissue Sunshine Daydream in a less deluxe package.

It's crazy you can't get more of thier stuff on Blu or even 4K. The collectors market for Dead memorailia is ridiculous.

That's awesome. I looked into buying this movie a while ago and was sad to see it oop and going for so much. Looks like between this and Trekkies Shout is getting some money out of me in January.

They're also re-releasing the DVD set All the Years Combine. Looks like it's been going for huge amounts on ebay
