Saw this at Tribeca - very good. Atmospheric, haunting and engrossing. A bit like 'Prisoners' meets 'Mystic River', but it also definitely it's own animal. If you like well acted dramas/thrillers... you might like. Diane Lane is superb.

What's up with Dakota Fanning? Has she lost it? According to blu-ray.com review, she's totally blank. That's exactly how she's been in the majority of her adult roles. She seems she just cant act anymore. We need more Ella Fanning in movies if Dakota cant keep up.

I agree, I don't think I've liked one of Dakota's older roles. She just doesn't act the same and seems to be a worse actress.

Elle on the other hand is so much better than Dakota at this stage. Elle just seems to be getting better and better whole Dakota is kinda going downhill.

Whatever the case, “Every Secret Thing” is a misfire on multiple levels, only slightly redeemed by yet another good performance from a Fanning and some strong supporting work on the fringe of this cautionary tale.

Looks like a hot mess of a movie, but I think I'll grab it on sale now for $9.99 on Vudu. Love the cast, so I'm interested to see it for myself. Both Fanning's are terrific actresses, just seems like Dakota is content with making indie pictures right now and they are more risky than the mainstream projects Elle is doing.
