10tons Announces Neon Chrome – A Top-Down Cyberpunk Shooter

Tampere, Finland, June 9th 2015 – 10tons announced today Neon Chrome, a cyberpunk top-down shooter. The game will be first available on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program. The game is slated for release in late 2015.

"At 10tons we've always loved cyperpunk, science fiction, and top-down shooters. Neon Chrome is a combination of these and our simple but ambitious goal is to create the ultimate cyberpunk top down shooter with memorable futuristic gunfights, fascinating environments and cool boss battles.", said Sampo Töyssy, Vice CEO of 10tons.

Neon Chrome is set inside an arcology, a massive science fiction residential structure. The player will shoot and blast his way through the mega structure consisting of both procedurally generated and hand crafted areas. The game is primarily targeted at PCs and current generation consoles, and plans exist also for a mobile device release at a later date.

What is Neon Chrome?

Neon Chrome is an upcoming cyberpunk top-down shooter by 10tons. We are creating a game with fast paced futuristic combat set in the neon lit future. There'll be automatic weapons, cybernetic enhancements, rain, tears, blood, epic bosses, neon lights, and a massive arcology to explore.

NEON CHROME TO BE FEATURED AT GAMESCOM '15 in COLOGNE

Would you like to be among the first in the world to play an upcoming cyberpunk top-down shooter called Neon Chrome?

We're attending Gamescom in Cologne from 5th to 7th August and we're bringing Neon Chrome with us. This will be the first opportunity to experience the intense futuristic top-down gunfights taking place in procedurally generated destructible levels. You'll also get to play with futuristic weapons, cybernetic enhancements and intriguing special abilities. Can you reach the finale and beat the boss?

Currently we're aiming for an early 2016 release on PS4, Xbox One and PC with more platforms to follow later.

A final reminder: The upcoming top-down cyberpunk shooter Neon Chrome will be playable at Gamescom this week, from Wednesday to Friday.

We recently added a rudimentary local co-op feature and destructible walls and environments, and the game is really quite swanky!

Neon Chrome will be released for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in late 2015.

Aug 3rd 2015 - Off to Gamescom
We've been working hard for the last two months to create a high quality sample from the core gameplay of Neon Chrome. We'll be showing the game in Gamescom at the Nordic Pavillion at booth A-015 (Hall 3.2). We'll be there from Wednesday to Friday this week so please stop by! Look for people with Neon Chrome shirts.
