Default What is your most stunning BD visually?

Hi there, new BR player here and new member. I would like to pickup a disc with very dramatic images (preferably a movie). Which disc in your collection is your favorite to demonstrate the visual of BR?

Thanks!

animation and cgi films are usually your best bet (i.e. cars, ratattouille) but Casino Royale and POTC's has been a big suggetion in the many other threads like this...

disney in general does a good job... you cant really go wrong with that... depends too on whoever you're showing it off too.... if you know the person hates cartoon movies well then dont go with animation because they will hate it regardless

Hey,

It's got to be Into the Blue or Eyes Wide Shut.

I hear EWS has poor picture quality but some of it looks really really nice to me.

I was quite amazed at Harry Potter 5. Stunning PQ in my opinion.

The best I've seen so far though are Cars & Ratatouille, followed by the Pirates movies.

I think Galapagos is just awesome (it's a nature commentary with fab HD).

The Pirates of the Car 3 looks great.... and TMNT looks fabulous. Hey, how about Spiderman 3... that is pretty darn good also.

Thanks to David Boulet for the Galapagos referral. The great thing about it is that it's only 19.99 at Amazon (rather than the $66 for Planet Earth - which I also intend to get soon).

Other than all the animated movies, it has to be Apocalypto. The vibrant colors of the rain forrest and the Mayan city just jumps out at you.
