Hello.

Anyone here that can advise me on "Deep Red" from Umbrella Entertainment?

I´m interested in the disk for the two documentaries but also want to know if this is the same print as the Blue Underground version or if its a downgrade.

Howdy I don't have caps or data available but I'm positive it's the same print as the Arrow disc. I'll check special features etc when I get home in Friday, if some good bloke doesn't do it before that

Yep it has Dario Argento's World of Horror (SD, 76 mins) and An Eye For Horror (SD 57 mins) but they both look to be in PAL.

Eye for Horror isn't too bad.. it was featured on all the Dario Argento DVDs that came out at that time..

Thanks for the specs.

Comparing them to the info presented on caps-a-holic (http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergl...ID=311#auswahl) it´s a direct port of the print used in the US disc from Blue Underground.

From the US disc, they only stripped 1 audio track from each version of the film, the Italian Dolby Digital (256 kbps) from the longer cut, and the English Dolby Digital (256 kbps) from the shorter cut.

Also, the extras being in PAL is not a problem for me as I live in Europe and all my playing devices are European.

Surely, I already have the Arrow and Blue Underground on DVD, so, given the extras, this makes a perfect blu edition for me.

If you don't have it already you might want the Oz disc of Suspiria too which includes all the bonus features from the UK disc but in addition has the 25th Anniversary documentary of 50 minutes that was part of the original US Anchor Bay 3 disc edition but never appeared in the UK

Yes indeed. I'll keep my Aussie SUSPIRIA in case it has exclusive extras, but am gearing up for the Synapse upgrade. After seeing DEMONS 1 and 2, I have high hopes.

Don May's been pouring a lot of time into this and judging buy some caps on the Synapse facebook page we are in for a treat

Those Demons Blus are great by the way. Still can't bring myself to get rid of my Arrow tin though

I got the Oz Suspiria in a Buy Two Get One Free promotion so it worked out around £9 delivered to the UK .

The Synapse one is uncertain as there's been no confirmation that it won't be another Demons style ripoff LE site exclusive . If it is they can stick it.
