Just saw the European release yesterday. Seems to be the same. PCM 5.1 and DD for English. DTS for several dubs.

Which site you got it from. i just finish the watching the DVD version one of my co workers brought in tonight. I wouldn't mind owning it, but if it's not Blu it just won't do.

there is still the part where Archer gives his daughter the knife , and you still get some nice knife to the leg twisting action later on.

plus some of the shotting related deaths are pretty violent the police officers getting shot on the boat at the end was very bloody.

That's my understanding of the UK disc as well. From what I've read the Japanese and Australian versions are uncut though.

HD DVD [US - Paramount]

Menu / Extra Features : 3.5/5 [Movie split into 40 chapters, Bookmarking is possible, Extras available in HD incl Director's commentary]
PQ : 4/5 [Heavy DNR + EE applied]
SQ : 5/5 (DTS ES) , 4/5 (DD+)
Uncut : YES

Blu-ray [Japan - Released by BVHE]

Menu / Extra Features : 0/5 [Horrible Menu Design]
PQ : 4.25 / 5 [No DNR but EE is noticeable in few scenes + Black Noise]
SQ : 5 / 5 [No big difference between the LPCM and DTS ES track.]
Uncut : YES

The master is the same but screw Paramount and BVHE for using an OLD HD master. Audio is absolute slam dunk.

i was actually waiting for this to be released on blu-ray in the usa and not get the hd version. but i it going to be released in usa and if not is it worth just getting the hd version instead of getting the blu-ray japan release??
