Sony Pictures Men in Black 3 (2012) Blu-ray 3D [Region B Locked / Free]

Due out November 30th, interestingly it has an Extra called 'Converting to 3D (3D - BD 3D exclusive')

I can't recall a 3D Movie having an extra on the actual process before, of course I may be completely wrong.

Sweet! really happy to see they have that as an extra. They need more extras on 3D blurays that elaborate on the 3D process imo

Was this one worth seeing in 3D? Or another crap 3D conversion?

Dear nycomet no unfortunately there has been no news as of lately of MIB 1 and 2 being converted to 3D like the first 2 Madagascar films are. The Madagscar films are made by Dreamworks Animation Men In Black 1-3 were made by Sony based off the Malibu Comic The Men In Black Owned by a sub division of Marvel Comics.

Ps: There is also no shopping website on the entire web that's reliable that says Men in Black 1 and 2 are coming in 3d blu-ray unlike Madagscar which in the past was up for pre-order at play.co.uk Sorry!

Yes. MIB3 3D had really good, consistent 3D for a conversion when I saw it in the theater.

Hey guys,

Just picked up my Blu-ray 3D copy of MIB3 today (Australian release).

Disappointed to report that the SKUs for MIB3 in Australia are quite different to those that will be released in the States come November.

There are 4 different versions available:

1) 3D Blu-ray/Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy edition (JB Hi Fi exclusive)
2) Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy edition
3) 3D Blu-ray edition (appears to be 1-disc only)
4) Blu-ray edition (appears to be 1-disc only)

It looks like versions 3) and 4) only have the extra features pertaining to that particular disc (ie, the 3D version only has the two extra features that deal with the 3D aspect of the film, whereas the Blu-ray edition has the other features [except the music video and whatnot that are only available on the DVD edition of the movie]).

Pretty disappointing that, if you want the 3D version of the movie with all of the extra features, you HAVE to buy the JB Hi Fi exclusive ($43 AUD). I notice that you guys will be getting a 3D version that contains the regular 2D Blu-ray disc also? Luckily, the 3D Blu-ray edition only set me back $29 AUD at Big W.

Anyways, just thought I'd give everyone the heads up since artwork for the 3D edition online is different to what is actually in-store (online artwork says 'Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray' on the front - actual SKU is only 'Blu-ray 3D'.

The 3D was used nicely, and no scenes were overly flat. Facial features were a bit under-dimensionalized for my taste, which kept me from fully enjoying the 3D. It's certainly one of the best conversions, but I wouldn't feel any rush to see it if you're not interested in the story.

watching the movies in 3D is really too much entertaining and full of excitement. And this is one of my best movies, whose series I prefer to watch...waiting eagerly for its release.

Lol that South Park episode was amazing. That's all I could think about during that scene.

Yeah, great casting of Josh Brolin for the younger Tommy Lee Jones.

I didn't know that was possible with Best Buy. I'll look into it for other movies, thanks.

Default Men in Black 3D Ultraviolet code question

I figured this would be the best place to post. If anyone with the Men in Black 3D Blu still has their UV code, could you please let me know what the first 4 digits are? I picked up a Men in Black 3 Steelbook from Dollar General. My code starts with BARM, so I'm thinking mine may just be the regular version and not the 3D. Also mine doesn't say 3D Blu, so I don't think it is the 3D Blu. If anyone is willing to part with an unused code as well, I'm willing to pay for it, as well as codes for Hotel Transylvania 3D and Resident Evil Retribution 3D.

Steelbook was a 2D only release. Only the codes from certain 3D Sony releases could be redeemed in 3D via VUDU and needed to be redeemed from the "redeem" link in the 3D page for that movie and not the regular redeem link under the drop down menu.

I've redeemed several 3D movies on Vudu ... the only one I got in 3D was Hotel Translyvania and it was automatic.

Is there a way I can get MIB or other movies in 3D? ... something I look for the in the menus....

I just searched Vudu and can't find MIB in 3D or Star Trek Into Darkness in 3D either.... But, then, I guess we are talking about UV not Vudu... I'll go looking there.
