Default PlayStation 2 format discs containing DVD-Video content

On the back of the disc case and on the disc label for NFL 2K2, I noticed something odd. Instead of the DVD-ROM logo used on most PlayStation 2 format DVDs, it has the DVD-Video logo. This implies that there is DVD-Video content on the disc playable in any DVD-Video player. The Xbox version of the game also has the DVD-Video logo on the back of its case. I have not found any information about this online. Can anyone here provide more insight into this and are there any other games like this? Does the 2006 PlayStation 3 show both the game and this DVD-Video content in the “Game” and “Video” sections of the XMB menu respectively?

Ps2 i believe had early versions and late versions which were able to read ROM and VIDEO discs. I believe Gran Turismo 4 was a DVD-Video disc.

All PlayStation 2 models could read DVD-ROM and DVD-Video discs. Gran Turismo 4 is a regular DVD-ROM just like most games. I am asking about this particular type of game that has the DVD-Video logo instead of the DVD-ROM logo.
