I know there is a thread for The 5th Wave already, but I felt that this deserved its own thread. There will be a Target exclusive of The 5th Wave which includes a bonus disc of exclusive bonus content including a Q&A with author Rick Yancey.

I pre-ordered the 4K release of The 5th Wave, but I might have to pre-order this as well.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably pre-order this one for the extra content. I wonder if that "book excerpt" they are including is going to be an actual hardcopy print book. Target has done a lot of sets with little booklets and such, that would be extra cool even though I have the book already. It looks like it might be judging by the sticker and their past exclusives. *fingers crossed*

At target right now have this in my hand. Coffin cases destroyed almost every slip, some of the slips are situated so that they are sitting slightly off the bottom of the blu though to avoid damage...No sign of physical book must be part of the digital code. No mention of bonus disc just says blu ray + digital. I am going to assume the extra content redeems through the code like most of the recent target releases.

The Target bonus disc is a DVD in an envelope inside the case. None of the copies at my Target had a sticker on the front identifying it as the Target exclusive, so be careful. If you want the bonus disc, make sure you get the version in shrink wrap with a sticker over the regular UPC. Bonus disc UPC is 043396476028.

Confirming this....but also you don't need to look at the back just the fact that it has the sticker on the front notating it includes the book excerpt which is actually easier that trying to determine if theres a barcode sticker in a coffin case.


Also confirming that the "book excerpt" is a digital download and it's from the third and upcoming book in the series The Last Star. So if you are new to these books it's basically useless.

Also it includes a digital code to get 1 of 3 movies for 4.99 (mortal instruments/after earth/battle la)

Actually the regular version has that same "Deleted Scenes and Book Excerpt" sticker on the front. The copies at Best Buy had them on all their copies too. I know it looks like a Target sticker because its red & white, but it is NOT a Target sticker. So that can't be used to identify the Target exclusive. Only the UPC sticker/number of 043396476028 is how you can tell which is the exclusive.

It seems many passed up on the Exclusive, Targets around me had a minimum of 10 copies and still seem to be widely available still glad I picked up a copy, I really enjoyed it in theaters

It's not much of an exclusive. I have yet to find any downloadable bonus content worth buying
