Based upon a series of James Patterson novels, the new science-fiction film concerns a group of DNA-enhanced orphans with the ability to fly. Their quest? To rescue the youngest of their flock while discovering the diabolical, scientific secrets of how they came to exist. Among their problems? Brutal half-human/half-wolf creations known as “Erasers.”

No, this did NOT fly passed my radar! I knew there was talk of making a film, but it's actually complete and being released in late August! Amazing!

God ******* dammit, they ****** it up. This looks like made for TV garbage. And of course it is because the movie releases in a month on digital HD.

I got back into this series thanks to the manga adaption, but now I wish I hadn't.

Ugh. This concept would have worked far better as a TV series. I am so damn peeved right now.

Is it me, or are good books nowadays getting more and more crummy movie adaptations?

This looks a little Twilight-esque, but the lead looks great and the movie looks entertaining enough. I'll gladly give it a shot.

I read the first seven of these before losing interest... The first was genuinely good to me in the 6th grade, as was the third. The rest were awful. This looks pitiful to say the least.

I continued to read passed the third book just about of interest alone, but yeah, the series lost it's focus with the release of the fourth book. I think I stopped after the sixth book because the relationship drama BS became the primary focus. I like the series more when it was about action, adventure, and comedy. My interest has sort of reawakened with the manga adaption these last two years because it's superior to the books.

God, I remember when the popularity of this series was very high nine years ago. I believe the initial announcement for the movie came out just around then. I feel like they only made this movie now because they were obligated to do so. I'm sure this movie will be added to the list of adapted classics such as Dragon Ball: Evolutionn and The Last Airbender.
