Tekkaman, Casshern, Gatchaman and ESPECIALLY Hurricane Polymar were huge hits here in Italy. Polymar is the most popular.

Cool stuff. I dig Tekkaman Blade, kinda curious to see the original show. I'm guessing if it ever does get subtitled in the US, it'll be a DVD from the new masters.

I didn't know that any anime had been big hits in Italy, was it during the big anime boom in the 80s?
