I was thinking of blind buying this myself. Sure it's a straight-up reboot but it still looks cool.

It's really only a "reboot" in the sense that they clearly wrote it to be plain ol' Transporter 4, but when Statham passed, they just brought in another actor and told him to do a Statham impression.

Skrein is absolutely awful in the role of Frank Martin, which is a shame, because Ray Stevenson is having a blast as his dad. The duo of Statham and Stevenson would've been fantastic.

I redeemed mine through Vudu with no problem. Did anyone find a copy with a slipcover? I have not seen one copy with a slipcover in any store since the day this was released.

It's definitely a reboot cause in this one I don't think Martin knows the detective like he already does in the original series.

I liked this movie a lot more than I should have.

You can clearly tell that Luc Besson had a very heavy hand in producing this, and it's very very similar to the first Transporter movie.

I love the original 3 movies, all of them, and I think that Skrein did just fine. He did a very good job capturing the kind of quick and efficient "pop and lock" type martial arts that Statham used, which is pretty impressive in its own right.

Even though the ages wouldn't work as father and son i agree, seeing those two together on screen would have been an absolutely blast. Skrein is so weak in this.

I watched tonight and I thought it was really good, especially in the spirit of the series. I think the lack of a famous cast kept it from gaining recognition. From a technical standpoint, I thought it was a well produced movie and the AV of the disc is top notch.

This is one of the most unnecessary reboots in existence, what made the studio heads think that Ed Skrein could replace Jason Statham? Audiences would probably have been more than willing to pay for a 4th Statham film.

I finally watched this tonight and thought it was MUCH better than its reception let on. I think they had to try harder without Statham's fanbase to rely on. The story was more sophisticated and even the fight and action choreography seemed a step up from the first three, which for me are guilty pleasures at best. This one, I don't feel as guilty about.
