Carice Anouk van Houten pronunciation: [kaːˈris ɑˈnuk fɑn ˈɦʌu̯tə(n)] was born in Leiderdorp, South Holland, Netherlands born 5 September 1976. She is best known for her role in the TV series Game of Thrones in which she has played the role of Melisandre since 2012. Internationally, she is also known for English language work in films like Valkyrie (2008), Repo Men (2010), Black Death (2010), and Black Book (2006), the most commercially successful Dutch film to date directed by Paul Verhoeven.

There is something bewitching about her, even without her GoT association. She's the kind of woman you'd feel compelled to keep one eye open at night when asleep. She's another one of those rare women that gets better with age.

Ahhhh Canada, another thread of yours I brought back. Well not that either one was in the graveyard or anything but I just happened to post in your Felicity Jones thread a few minutes ago. I can't believe Carice has her own thread

I only know her from Valkyrie but she definitely caught my eye. I like that classic beauty look and love seeing women in period dress from like the 1940s and earlier.
I do own Black Book but I haven't watched it yet. Oh yeah I do own Black Death which is a terrible film she did with Sean Bean

Oh yeah and Repo Men too.
I was really surprised she divorced or broke up with Sebastian Koch and is now dating Guy Pierce. I just found that very shocking for some reason.

You gotta watch Black Book, especially since you own it already. It's a great film and if you like women in 1940's era garb, this is right up your alley. Carice looks absolutely smashing in it as well.
