Default Can Captain America 3 outgross Batman vs Superman?

Buddy and I have a friendly wager going. I personally believe Batman vs Superman may end up the highest grossing superhero movie ever, while he think Cap 3 will end up topping it due to Bats & Supes not having the same mass appeal with today's audience that Iron Man and Cap do. I'm confident I'm going to win but just wanted to know what you guys think.

Okay, I'll bite. Cap 3 wins. Hands down. There's just too much audience goodwill heading into this thing. No contest.

In my opinion, based on Marvel's brand recognition, it'll outgross Batman v Superman.

Now, here's what I see; both film will make a billion worldwide but they'll only be separated by less than 200 million.

BvS will likely win, but Marvel keeps growing their fanbase, so anything can happen.

Let the record show that I want Cap 3 to demolish BvS.

I think the success of Cap 3 will ride on the success of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Cap 3

The Marvel name, a proven franchise with returning cast, and tons of money for production and advertising will put it over Batman vs Superman.

No interest in anything directed by Zack Snyder.

I thought Cap 3 would outgross it even before RDJ was added to the cast.

I may be the only one, but im looking forward to both. Don't want one to demolish the other.

I dont know, both Capt movies grossed less than Man of Steel domestically.

And adding Batman and setting up Justice League will push the movie well over 300M

I honestly wouldn't have thought so before RDJ signed on for CA3. That alone will boost the sales for a couple hundred million. I mean each Iron Man movie has outgrossed the predecessor.

That's just my opinion though.

Yes, Batman and Superman have never been in a movie like this before. Captain America and Iron Man have. And I don't think RDJ would even be in this movie if it wasn't for Batman Vs Superman...They really need to take their heads out of their ass. Who cares if Batman Vs. Superman does well? They both can do well.

Honestly, this is a tough one for me. You have a proven franchise going up against a team-up of probably the most iconic superheroes ever. I'll have to give the edge to BvsS.

I feel bad for Capt. He's going to be overshadowed by Iron Man in his sequel.

Last time round Captain America won at the box office, so I'll go with that. CA3 also will be the better film.
