U2's Rattle and Hum looks pretty good to me, and the sound is phenomenal with nice deep bass.

You've come to the right place my friend, and I'll be more than happy to share with you some of my favourite concert BD's.

I'll list them based on the highest number of times I watched and listened to them, although that infers my muscial tastes, which may be different than yours. Here we go.

1. Legends of Jazz Showcase - (JAZZ) The PQ/AQ are phenomenal. However it is not as long as I would have expected. The individual performances are top-notch and worth it based on seeing "Clark Terry's - Mumbles" alone. A classic scat!

2. David Gilmour: Live at The Royal Albert Hall - (ROCK) The PQ at times leaves a little to be desired, but the concert and AQ is unforgettable. A definate buy if you're at all a Pink Floyd fan.

3. Tony Bennett: An American Classic (JAZZ/SWING) - What can you say about Tony Bennett other than he is a true classic. Both PQ/AQ are outstanding and the guest performers are at the top of their game as well. A most enjoyble disc with a great "cheezy" factor that's actually enjoyable.

4. Chris Botti Live (JAZZ) - Superb AQ/PQ. Guest performers really put on a great show and you can tell they enjoyed the evening. For my money, Chris Botti does the best ever version of "My Funny Valentine" as well.

5. Elton John 60: Live at Madison Square Garden (ROCK) - What can you say about Elton John that hasn't already been said. The man is an amazing talent and has a flair that only he could pull off. PQ/AQ are definate showstoppers (just like the man) and it's a beast of a program with 33 songs.

I'll leave it to the others to post some alternatives, although I will add Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds: Live at Radio City simply because of its stellar PQ/AQ. If your a fan...this would have to be a first buy for you.

Elton 60, Shakira: Oral Fixation, U2: Rattle & Hum, Santana: Hymns For Peace, Queen Rock Montreal, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds: Live at Radio City, and Justin Timberlake: Futuresex are all fantastic concerts on Blu-ray.

As you can see... my music tastes vary greatly... I'd love to get some Broadway Performances on Blu-ray!!!

This is the best music BD I own. A great performance and a must-own title for casual fans of Pink Floyd.

I've only watched the following BD's once or twice, so I can't really give you a fair assessment as to the overall enjoyment one of those concert BD's may give you. As such, I'll just post what other titles I have.

1. Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire: Live At The Greek Theatre
2. Destiny's Child: Live In Atlanta
3. Heart: Alive In Seattle
4. John Legend: Live At The House Of Blues
5. Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains The Same (for true LZ fans.. as PQ sucks)
6. Roy Orbison: Black & White Night
7. The Last Waltz (I know, you have it)
8. The Moody Blues Live: Lovely To See You
9. The New Orleans Concert: The Music of America's Soul

If you're at all into classical, be sure to check out the OPUS ARTE offerings, but remember they are BD AUDIO only for many of their titles.

Hmm. I was curious to see what people thought of the Jethro Tull and Yes ones.

I suggest you get Sweeney Todd, when it comes out.

It comes out October 21, 2008.

Ok, am I the only one here that's going to pull out the Nine Inch Nails disc? That has to be one of the best audio showcase discs available, not to mention one hell of a show.

I clicked on this thread to say the same thing! Add a second recommendation for NIN, one of the best audio tracks I've heard, and the PQ is quite good as well.

Same here! So that's 4 for NIN so far

I was wondering though, does anyone have any comments on The Moody Blues Live: Lovely To See You? I love the Moody Blues and I've got Live at Red Rocks on DVD, love it and was thinking of getting Lovely to See You.

Yep, I'm into NIN and I like The Moody Blues

Celine Dion's A New Day... there I said it. It has good PQ, excellent AQ. Might take a strong person to sit through her personality, but her BD was well-produced.

Wish they had a little more variety of music on BD. Anywho, the studios/music companies have to praised for releasing music quite early in BD's short history, unlike DVD.
