Default Tomboy - Walter Hill

Quote:
In what may be the nuttiest concept for an action thriller since Face/Off, Michelle Rodriguez (Fast & Furious franchise, Girlfight, Machete) and her Avatar co-star Sigourney Weaver (Alien, Ghostbusters) are set to headline the gender-swapping noir Tomboy, A Revenger’s Tale. The film was announced today by producers Saïd Ben Saïd of SBS (Carnage, Maps to the Stars) and Michel Merkt.

From a story by Denis Hamill (Turk 182!), Tomboy will be written and directed by Walter Hill, the action legend behind tough guy flicks like 48 Hours, The Warriors and the more recent Sly Stallone vehicle Bullet to the Head. The film centers on a guy who’s an ace assassin (Rodriguez), who is double-crossed by gangsters and is transformed into a woman by a rogue surgeon known as “The Doctor,” to be played by Weaver. Now a hitwoman, he sets out for revenge, aided by a mysterious nurse named Johnnie.

Can the OP or a mod fix the thread so it says "Walter Hill" and not "Water Hill"

How are there not more comments about what is sure to be the most glorious POS in years? I'm salivating.

Default Pardon me for being dumb, but...

...I've spent the last hour trying to figure out how to post a New Thread on this forum. FAQ tells me to "simply" push the New Thread button. Ah, if only life were that easy. No New Thread button exists when you enter the forum, just pre-existing threads that I'm allowed to reply to. Which is what I'm doing right now, since Blu-ray.com provides no way of asking this question directly.

Again, my problem: you go to a forum, see the existing threads, have a desire to post an original thread of your own... but there is no New Thread button that allows you to do it.

Obviously other people here figured out how to push a non-existent or invisible button, because new threads are up there. So I ask someone to take pity on a frustrated soul and explain to me where in God's name that button appears. I'd greatly appreciate it.

You are a new member, and I think you have to have a certain number of posts before you can start a thread (I have been a member for several years so the exact details are fuzzy). But I think that is why.

Sounds like an action movie remake of Myra Breckinridge.

Thanks so much, omenboy! I really appreciate the explanation. It had gone way beyond my interest in making a comment... I thought I was losing my mind, following their instructions and getting nowhere. Curious rules they have here... I'm listed as a "New Member," and then directly below that it says I've been a member since 2012. Over three years and I'm still "new"? Interesting. I've even contributed at least one movie review along the way. But I guess they mean I'm "new" to posting on a forum? Like I said, curious rules. Anyway, thanks again!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it has to do with post count. Alas, I don't remember how many you need either. I can understand why they do it though. They don't want people able to sign-up and make spam threads, I should think is the reason.

You should be able to PM a Mod and ask how many posts you need. They're good about answering questions like that.

This sort of reminds me of the Hit or Miss TV series with Chloe Sevigny .
